Castle in Gostynin

Relaxing in the bosom of nature can be combined with visiting several interesting places in the area. One of the biggest attractions is the Gostynin Castle, which was built on the initiative of the Duke of Mazovia, Stiemowit IV, at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.

The castle was once visited by eminent guests, including kings Władysław Jagiełło, Kazimierz Jagiellończyk, Zygmunt the Old and Zygmunt August. And Tsar Wasyl Szujski, who apparently still hounts there…

During the partitions, the castle served as an evangelical church. Today it houses a hotel, restaurant and tourist information point.
